Weather

Cold enough for you. I walked to the mail box this afternoon and  my feel have not gotten warm since. Think I could have gotten a little frostbite?  Saw just a small amount of that white stuff that people like to see this time of year. Not enough to make a little person.  We had a good group Thursday night. There were 36 there at lessons and seem to be having a great time. We plan to continue the lessons for a couple of months at least.  Come and join us, we begin at 7 pm.

I'm Back!!

I have no excuse except priorities for not writing on this blog lately. Want to tell you us seniors are still having a blast learning line dance steps. So much smiling, laughter and fun, plus the fellowship of one another is great!  If we continue to grow, we may have to find a new place to dance. We are so grateful to Sam and Shirley for leading and teaching with much patience. The lessons will continue for at least two more months on Thursday nights beginning at 7 pm and going until 8:30 pm and that is every Thursday night.


We haven't gotten other activities off the ground yet. We have thoughts and ideas of day time activities that will probably start when it gets a little warmer. If you check this, I will do my best to keep it up since it is now tied into the town website.  


Would like to see you on the dance floor soon at the Thompson's Station Community Center.

Contest???

Can we have a contest this Thursday night? I was thinking maybe "two left feet" contest?
August 4th 6:30 PM and I can guess who will win! More lessons, more fun.

Schedule Change

Hey, Life After Fifty!

A change in the day for line dance lessons. Our wonderful teachers said they would come and work with us every Thursday in August, if we could change nights. Wow, so we have changed to Thursday night, the first being 8/4 at the community center beginning at 6:30 pm. We are so grateful to Brenda and Larry Darnell and Bob and Mary Hargrove  for their encouragement and patience in teaching our two left feet which way to go and when to go. Just makes for a fun filled night with exercise and laughter galore.  See you Thursday!!

Let's Dance!!!

Hello out there.... time to exercise the fun way and learn a little more on Line Dancing. We will gather July 29th at 6:30 pm at the Thompson's Station Community Center located in the heart of Thompson's Station. I don't think you will have any trouble smiling as we all enjoy and join together for a fun night. If you don't care to dance, then come and watch others give it a try.  We are all learning together.

Walking Club

July  13th and July 27th at 10am and 2pm each date at Longview Recreation Center in Spring Hill. There will be a $1 fee for each walk. This event will be lead by Joyce Tinsley who will greet you at the front door of the facility near the check-in desk. If you have questions you may reach Joyce at joyce@harddeals.com
